Pastell Oldtown Chiang Mai

The included breakfast was filling, and the restaurant coffee was the best we had in Thailand. We stayed three days and found the staff genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, with a little balcony facing the city and a local temple. The old town location made it easy to walk to restaurants, 7/11, temples, and the Sunday walking street, all within about 0-20 minutes. You can hear motorbikes, city sounds, and roosters, but that's part of being right in the city square. For the price, the location, bed, room, food, and coffee all exceeded what we expected.

It was a welcome break from the city's noise and bustle to return here each day. Pastell is very well placed, around a ten-minute walk from the best sights in charming Chiang Mai old town. We found the rooms spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet made mornings easy. The staff were friendly and glad to help with our extra requests and questions. A great base for a family trip to Chiang Mai.

We were three and had a loft room with two large beds, so we all slept comfortably. It was a very nice, comfortable stay, and the place was very clean. The breakfast was generous, with three choices, though they were a little similar. They even packed breakfast for us on the day we had to leave early for our tour. It does cost a bit more than Chiang Mai usually does.

We stayed five nights and had a great time. The staff were lovely and helpful, and our room was great with a very comfortable bed. We only tried the pool once, but it was clean. We didn't have breakfast, though the coffee was good. Everything we needed was within walking distance, and when we didn't feel like walking, getting a Bolt or Grab was easy. I'd definitely recommend it.
