The room was spacious, with a seat, desk, storage space and an open wardrobe, and the location is great if you need to be near the bus station, right across from Bus terminal 2. But the check-in was frustrating. The receptionists didn’t speak any English and told me they were fully booked, so I had to show my booking before they took me seriously. Several things in the room were faulty: the towel rail and shower head were broken, the shower head wouldn’t stay in place so I had to hold it, the toilet seat was very loose, and there was a shower curtain rail but no curtain. The TV wouldn’t turn on either. Reception said they’d fix things tomorrow, even though they knew I was only staying one night. After I complained to the owner, someone showed up a little later with new batteries. I’d rate it 7 out of 10. It’s a shame, because the room itself was nice and the location is handy.

Room B202 had a really awful damp smell, and it made sleeping difficult. We chose this place at the last minute to be near the bus station, but I can’t recommend staying here, not even for 10 minutes. I don’t know if every room smells like this, so if you decide to try the hotel, maybe check the room before accepting it. After checkout I realized the smell had got into all my clothes. The bathroom sink was partly clogged and the toilet seat was broken, though there was hot water. The towels and sheets seemed washed, but they may be so old that even bleach can’t get them white again.

For $15 a night, it was good value. I had a private room and bathroom with good AC, right across from the bus station. They returned my 200bht deposit without any questions. The food next door was amazing too.

My biggest problem was the deposit. I paid 300 baht at check-in, but got only 200 baht back at checkout. When I objected, the receptionist acted as if they didn’t understand English and avoided me. I’d asked for a receipt when I paid, but they refused and I made the mistake of going along with it. This kind of scam happens frequently in Thailand, so I’d record a video or keep proof when handing over cash. There were other problems too: dirty towels, a broken showerhead, narrow staircases, large wild rats running along the road in front of the hotel, and noisy air conditioning that made it impossible to sleep. Choosing a place like this just because it’s cheap can leave you with a lot of regret.
