Sripoom Boutique House

The room was fantastic for a city-center stay in Chiang Mai, spacious, clean, and with a great view. Three windows helped it feel open instead of cramped. Parking is limited, but the price was good and the accommodation exceeded my expectations.

The room had plenty of space, a balcony and good internet. You could also use your own account to watch Netflix on the TV. The location is convenient, just outside the northeast corner of the city walls, around a 10-minute walk from the night market north of the city gate, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Cleanliness was a problem when we checked in: there was hair on the showerhead, in the cups and in the basins. We stayed six days. They said rooms would be cleaned every three days, and we even put up a cleaning request sign, but nobody came to clean or take out the trash.

Everything else was fine, but the B&B uses an xx environmental protection system, so cleaning happens only once every three days. Drinking water and bath towels, among other things, aren’t replenished or replaced. The doors and windows are double-layered for soundproofing, yet it’s still a bit noisy beside the main road.

It was terribly dirty and dusty. I couldn’t sleep and started coughing. The sofas looked 100 years old and were dusty too, and a pillar rose up when I sat on one.
