We arrived after booking The Ghee House at 4am, trying to get away from a bad stay elsewhere in Chiang Mai. The owner welcomed us the next morning and let us leave our bags and get something to eat before check-in later that day. The place is gated, which made it feel very safe, and it stays quiet at night. Our room was clean, with daily cleaning available if you want it. The owner is such a warm, welcoming woman, and you can tell she puts her heart into the place. I’d happily stay here again.

A family run boutique guest house with roomy private rooms and a really friendly staff. It’s in the city, just a short walk from the old town. I’d highly recommend staying here while in Chiang Mai.

Small, cute, and clean, with a practical location. There’s a motorbike rental nearby, which I’d recommend using while you’re here. The woman who helped us was lovely and kept our bags before check-in and after checkout, until 4pm. Laundry service is available too.
