Red Hibiscus Guesthouse has become my regular Chiang Mai base. I've stayed in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and it keeps giving me what I need. It's affordable, comfortable, reliable, and well placed, without pretending to be luxury. I like having the option to leave for a few days on a motorcycle trip, pack light, rent somewhere else, then come back. The rooms are practical, clean, and quiet, with a big comfortable bed, smart TV, and sensible layout. Just inside the Old Town on a one-way street, it gets little traffic noise and has motorbike parking. There are Muay Thai boxing camps, temples, massage shops, nail salons, and local barbers nearby, plus lots of food choices from cafes to simple local places. Men's haircuts are around 100 baht. If you want the things you need without paying for extras, it's worth a try.

We arrived much later than planned, and I was grateful the host stayed in touch and showed us three room options. All were spacious, clean, and well kept. She even brought us homemade cookies, which disappeared fast. Daily cleaning and fresh water were thoughtful touches. The place is a little treasure, with greenery and flowers that made it feel welcoming. Its location in the old town zone meant we could walk to the sights, and the airport is close too. We appreciated the suggestions for places to visit and would definitely come back. Thanks for everything 🙏☺️

We liked the clean, pleasant room, the quiet area, and the friendly hosts. It was affordable and good value. Room service was good for the first few days, but after we extended our stay and the hosts insisted on cash, it stopped for the rest of our time. The host also offered to do our laundry in a way that made us think it was free. We were then charged three times what the laundry shop across the street would have charged. We felt taken advantage of, and left with a bad feeling.

The staff welcomed us warmly and gave very good service. Our room was clean and well looked after, and the location is excellent. We had a great experience.
