The Signature Hotel Thapae

We chose this hotel because the reviews looked good and most places were booked for the long holiday, but ended up checking out and moving elsewhere. When we returned the key and asked for our deposit, nobody acknowledged us or even said thank you, which added to our disappointment. The main issue was parking and access. The hotel had only 2-3 very narrow spaces, and two cars were already there. Adding another would have made it impossible to move the cars. The road outside is closed from 18:00-22:00 for performances, so cars can't enter or leave then. When we asked about going out to dinner, staff told us to take a Grab or park at the nearby temple. The booking site listed parking as a facility, but the hotel hadn't told us in advance about the limited spaces or road closure. Rather than apologize, staff seemed to suggest it was our responsibility to tell them beforehand that we needed parking, and said parking was “available” at the TEMPLE. As paying guests, we expected clear information and basic convenience. Limited or unavailable facilities should be stated clearly, and the service could have been more welcoming.
