The Simple House

We got in late at night, and the staff were helpful. The lobby looked good, and our suite was roomy, clean, and had no unpleasant odor. Breakfast is included. The experience would be better with a shower curtain, a water heater that works fully, and a more ergonomic sink faucet.

The room was nice and breakfast was pretty good, but the pool was far too dirty to swim in. There was even a dead frog in it. Maybe it was because it was low season, but that wasn't mentioned anywhere. The hotel is quite far outside the city. We stayed because we had a flight the next day and it was near the airport. They advertise an airport shuttle, but the front desk just orders a taxi for you, which cost 200 baht.

The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly, but I wouldn't choose this place for a week. There's not much nearby, and getting into town by Uber or taxi can get costly since it's outside the city. The bathroom needs renovation, with moldy spots on the tub. Breakfast was average, and I don't know why they gave us less than a centimeter of butter for our toast. The pool was disappointing and much too filthy to swim in. There was a dead frog in it too. The building has a really cool vintage look and has been redone. Service was excellent, and I'd especially recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the city. The shower setup is odd, raised and without a curtain, so water gets everywhere.
