We spent 6D5N here with our bikes, and it was a great stay. This place is well set up for cyclists, with bike parking and a DIY service kiosk stocked with tools and lubes. I built my bike on arrival, and staff put my bike bag in a secure room. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Housekeeping came daily, with fresh towels and drinking water. The fridge was big enough for ice cream, pizzas, and drinks, and the microwave was handy for reheating pizza and other baked or cooked snacks when we got hungry late in the evening. Breakfast was easy to get just outside the lobby driveway, with sandwiches, cafe breakfast sets, and drinks. The hotel is well placed as a start or end point for routes covering popular climbs, flats, and loops. Nearly everyone staying there was a cyclist. Thanks to Khun Aom at the night desk, who was there until around 8am during our stay. She got us an extra pillow and suggested Jing Jai market, a traditional local market for the weekend, and other places for first-time visitors. Her colleague arranged a red pickup taxi to the airport on checkout morning. We hope to return with more friends to cycle and eat more of Chiang Mai's yummy food.

This may work well for cyclists, but it wasn't for me. The bed was old and very hard, and the elevator is awkward because you have to carry luggage up or down at least one full floor before you can use it. Water pressure is low but usable, and the internet is slow, around 8Mbps download. On the plus side, there are nice, accommodating people, a small kitchen with a fridge and microwave, and a closet.

It's easy to get around Chiang Mai from here, and the location is great for the price. The staff were really kind, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Room quality varies. Most are quite spacious and have the necessary appliances, but some feel a bit old and look out onto the street or another building. My room also didn't seem thoroughly cleaned when I checked in, with dust on the floor and shelves.

If you're traveling with a bike, you'll fit right in here. The staff understand what cyclists need and speak their language. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and nice. Highly recommended for bike lovers 🥰😎🚲🚲🚲

I've enjoyed my stays at Vanilla over the years. I was there most recently in October 2025 and loved it enough to come back in December. Even if you're not a cyclist, the rooms are comfortable, the staff are great, and the location is convenient for the price.
