We only stayed one night, and the owner was very kind. The jungle noise is intense, with monkeys and chickens calling all night. The room is rustic and a bit improvised, so it doesn’t have a hotel-clean feel. As Europeans, we aren’t used to the smell of insects, and it was very noticeable here. If you’re okay with those things, you can still have a good time.

The steep hill is really hard to manage on foot. You can only ride up by motorbike, while cars have to park at the bottom and walk. Once there, the hilltop cafe has stunning views and lots of covered and open-air seating. It’d be much better if they didn’t blast pop music through the speakers. I’m sure plenty of customers would rather hear the quiet sounds of nature.

The view is lovely, and it’s a wonderful spot for sunrise or sunset. But the chicken fried rice I ordered was the worst meal I had in all of Thailand. I gave the chicken to the owner’s really cute dog.

It’s a camping-style place with tents and a beautiful mountain view. Pets are allowed, but check in advance in case extra charges apply.

Really, really bad experience. They call this a hotel, but there’s no reception, no service provider, and nobody there. The road up the hill is extremely steep, and a car can’t make it up. I wouldn’t recommend it.
