The owner and caretakers were all very friendly and helpful, and the place works well for families or a big group of friends. It's beside a very quiet river, with no cars or tuktuks and just one small boat passing in the morning. You can eat breakfast outside in the river breeze or indoors. Fishing is fun any time, and if you catch something at night, you can cook it right away and enjoy it with friends and a bottle or two of beer. A holiday here is worth it.

RRR retreat was such a peaceful base for exploring chiang rai, and we plan to return for longer. Our clean, very comfortable room was only steps from the flowing river. Huge trees fill the grounds, which sit right beside the monastery grounds. It felt fantastic and peaceful.

We made good use of the small plunge pool, which was very welcome during our stay. The shower was the best of the 11 places we stayed on our Thailand trip this summer. Our rooms were beautiful, with a lovely river view, and the owners were attentive and eager to please us as their first post-Covid guests. They also provided a few complimentary items. The properties sit quietly beside the River Kok. The roadworks outside were messy, though, and we hope they're finished soon to make arrival easier. We skipped breakfast because it would have cost 1000 Baht per day for my family, which seemed expensive. The owners could consider including it in the room price.

Sunsets by the river were charming, and the staff were lovely. It was a cozy spot for R&R and family time, with a delicious breakfast.
