The breakfast situation was the biggest problem for me. They say there is no buffet because of covid, but other hotels and restaurants around town have buffets. Here, the included breakfast is one bowl of rice soup, delivered floor by floor starting on the 6th at 8:00 a.m., so you have no idea when yours will arrive. There's also toast downstairs that you can make yourself. I gave up and took a Grab taxi somewhere else, so don't count on the included breakfast being much of a benefit. For the price of this room, you could stay midway down the beach and get a better location and a full buffet at a better place. There's no beach in front of this property, and the area is pretty filthy. The rooms are large, and the higher floors have a nice sea view, but the furnishings and services are minimal. You only get one towel, and the TV connection works only sometimes. If you have children or want to watch TV, make other plans. The property is at the far end of the beach, away from where things are happening in town. That's good if you want quiet, but the location made this a hard review to write. The basic offering does cover minimal needs.

The beachside atmosphere is great, especially at sunset when you can eat by the water. A night market is nearby, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. It was fun seeing students out with their friends in the evenings. This hotel/apartment is budget friendly.

The area is peaceful, close to the beach and bars, and the apartments are large. Breakfast is rice soup delivered to the room, which was nice. Wi-Fi was weak, but the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the air conditioning worked well. A nice place to stay.

We booked a one-bedroom at the last minute and drove from Bangkok to get away from the pollution, though that didn't work out. We arrived around 8pm. After dinner, I found the shower hose leaking badly. Since it was late, I didn't bother asking for another room, but they moved us the next day. The room was clean, with a kitchen that had what we needed, a microwave, a safe, and good Wi-Fi. The TV was there, though I never used it. Breakfast was free rice soup, with prawn or minced pork, plus coffee and tea all day by reception and toast with jam in the morning. The sliding fly and mosquito screens were a nice surprise for a Thai hotel, though I brought lemongrass repellent anyway. Watch out for the towel rack behind the door, it comes loose easily, and the shower floor can be slippery. Parking is out front with no shade. There are lots of walkable restaurants, and the southern end of the beach road by a jetty is quiet at night. We were there for two nights. I'm only 50/50 on returning, but I'll keep it as an option among the places I've stayed in BangSaen. The Tide Bakery & Cafe is five minutes away by car. @GlobalNewsTH
