We’re mature independent backpackers, had no booking, and needed somewhere within walking distance of the station. Boonya Place is an unusual setup, with no clear front entrance or office. The office is among the row of rooms that looks like the back of the hotel. Staff appeared suddenly, and despite the language differences, everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had air conditioning, a fridge, and even an electric kettle. We stayed three nights for 500baht. Great value.

The room was clean and bright, with cold air conditioning and a strong water flow. It had the amenities I needed except a hair dryer, and there’s a parking lot. Good value at a reasonable price. There are lots of dogs around, though, so watch out when coming and going.
