The bed was comfortable, and I liked the location and service. Just know that nearby bars make it hard to sleep if you go to bed early. If you're staying up until around 1 anyway, that may suit you. The pool is very shallow, and they don't seem to do anything to keep pigeons away.

The rooms were clean, and being right on the beach was nice. I also loved the pool's views of the beach and ocean. The beds felt firm rather than soft, and there was no hot water in the shower. Two clubs nearby stay open late, and the noise was so loud it made my door vibrate.

The hotel sits between restaurants with live music, so if you enjoy that, relaxing on the balcony could be nice. The beach is across the road, with clear seawater and a few small waves. I could see lots of little fish and crabs, even though the sand looks brown. The hotel itself is nice and the room rates are reasonable. Book directly with the hotel for a good price.

We spent the day on the roof using the pool and facilities, so I can't say anything about the rooms. The staff were cool, and for just 150 THB per person, pool access gets you what I thought was the best view in town. You can stay all day. Towels are provided, and there are bathrooms and showers up there, plus nice deck chairs and some shade. They bring out very cheap food and beers, and set up a bar with great cocktails. BYOB is fine too. Great spot and people for watching a gorgeous sunset with friends and getting tipsy. In Bang Saen, I couldn't think of a better place to hang out.

The hotel is right by the beach, and the sea view from the sixth floor is nice. From the private terrace, you can hear easy listening pop from the pub next door. That might be a bad fit if you want a quiet place.
