Prima Hotel Pattya

The room decorations made the stay feel special, and housekeeping kept everything spotless. Check-in went smoothly thanks to the front desk team, who were helpful throughout. Every staff member was welcoming. I loved staying here and appreciated the excellent service.

I stayed at Prima Hotel for five nights. Reception was good, but the room had a strong damp, sewage-like smell. The bedding and pillows smelled awful, as if they hadn't been washed, and the mini fridge stayed warm even after I turned the temperature down. I reported the problems, but nothing was done. The room wasn't clean enough either, with other people's hair on the floor, and the towels were very worn out. Breakfast was frustrating. We waited 15 minutes for a table, dirty plates were piled up, and the tables weren't wiped. Staff used the same tablecloth to wipe one table after another without rinsing it. The food was lukewarm, and although the hot food was covered outside, the tongs were exposed and had flies on them. I wasn't happy with the hotel.

I regret booking this hotel. I was misled by the pool photo, since the pool turned out to be a shallow kids' pool that you couldn't really swim in. There were also lots of flies around the pool area. The corridors on the ground floor near the pool suites smelled of sewage, and the bedding, pillows, and towels were extremely worn and smelled as if they had never been washed. During our five-night stay, the fridge never worked, despite a promise to fix it. The air-con filter in my room blew dust into the air, and my nose was blocked all night, like being in the middle of Bangkok traffic. Cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance were all below even what I'd expect from a one-star hotel. This is nowhere near a four-star standard, and worse than some two-star places I've stayed at in Pattaya. I don't recommend it and won't return.

We spent one night at Prima Hotel Pattaya while travelling with my husband and our three-year-old daughter. The manager arranged for someone to help with our bags at check-in. But once we were away from the manager and walking down the corridor, the luggage attendant told me to carry them, even though my husband was holding our child. Our room was a long way off, with several steps and about a 10-15 minute walk, so carrying the luggage myself wasn't practical or safe. I politely said no and explained that luggage help was part of the hotel service and neither of us could carry the bags then. The staff member got visibly frustrated and spoke rudely in his own language. It was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Guests shouldn't feel pressured or disrespected for asking for a service the hotel offers. His attitude and lack of professionalism were very poor. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend the hotel, especially to families with young children.
