Great.
For 400 baht a night, the rooms are good value. The owner is friendly, service is warm, and it feels safe.
The market is close enough to walk to, and there’s a hair salon and massage place right out front. Inside, the bed is comfortable, the air conditioning works well, and the lighting is bright. It feels safe and not frightening, especially for women. The owner is lovely and the caretaker is kind, too. There’s private parking.
Aabthong Resort costs 380 baht a night, and only twin beds are available. Checkout is at 12:00 PM. There’s no key deposit and they don’t ask for an ID card. The owner, I think, lives next door and was very helpful and polite. Each single-story room has its own stairs. The mattress is firm but has some bounce, which was fine. The air conditioning is great, and there’s a refrigerator. The TV has sound, though the picture isn’t very clear. The bathroom is good, with strong water pressure throughout and hot water that comes quickly. One thing I’d suggest is repairing or replacing the door. There’s a crack in the wood near the TV that lets you see inside. Rating: 4/5.
Close to the walking street, and inexpensive. The place is private and the owner is kind.
