There’s no proper parking area, so you leave the car on grass. In rainy weather, that’s rough on your shoes. The room also only had a single roll of toilet paper, which wasn’t enough, and one of the balcony bulbs was out. The surroundings are pleasant, but it’s basically a park. Most regular tourists may find it dull. It seems better suited to people coming to fish.

We felt completely at ease here, right beside the lake with water, trees, and plants all around. Our terrace was large, and the villas had lovely views from every room. The houses are a little dated, but since you spend most of your time outside, it adds to the charm. The owners were the friendliest and most helpful people. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We spent one night here with the family while on a three-day bike trip out of Chiang Mai. The villa was comfortable, the pool was a treat, and the resort itself was peaceful and beautiful. The Asian furniture was thoughtfully chosen. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. She was easy to talk with and did a lot to make us feel at home. He cooks wonderfully on the furnace, and the food was excellent. They’re both lovely people and speak fluent English. We had a wonderful stay and can recommend the place to anyone looking for somewhere in this part of Thailand.

We enjoyed a lovely two-night stay in a clean, spacious, private lodge with a comfortable king-size bed. The pool was especially welcome in the middle of summer. Paul and Dolly were helpful hosts, and the food was excellent with a wide menu. We live nearby but hadn’t explored this part of CM before. The temple high on the nearby hill was interesting and worth seeing. Longer stays are apparently possible, which could work well for people thinking about living in CM long term.
