Tippaya Villa

The rooms are spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast delivered to the room was a nice touch, and we enjoyed it on the balcony. There’s a good coffee spot next door, too. We stumbled on this place and were surprised by how quiet and well maintained it was. A lovely river runs through the property.

The sound of fresh water flowing through the canal made the setting feel really relaxing. It’s beside the main road, and driving there was safe. The villa is very old, though, and the toilet smelled bad. Just one staff member handled everything, and the Thai home-cooked food was very salty. I was only there to relax and didn’t expect professional service, so it was okay for me.

I slept better here than I have anywhere. The sunsets were fantastic, and it was a lovely place to unwind, read, write, or draw, with good wifi and a Thai menu in the main building. That building looks over the gardens and mountain. The modern bungalows sit separately around a campus-like area halfway up the hill. Each has its own terrace and view, with plenty of privacy and quiet, and you can hear the birds. The bathroom was good, mosquito nets were on all the windows, and everything was spotlessly clean.

Gin, who runs the place, treated us so well and even brought fresh fruit with a meal. The Thai food was delicious, and the staff were the best. We had such a lovely stay, got good rest in the quiet setting, and found the villas nice and very clean. The flowers were in full bloom when we visited, so I took lots of photos. We enjoyed our time here so much.
