I was grateful to get some much-needed rest in this beautiful place. It has a slow, peaceful charm that feels very different from the modern hotels that keep springing up. The architecture is stunning, the staff are welcoming, and little kittens wander around as if they belong there. My favorite part was waking to soft sunlight coming through an antique window, with greenery all around outside. Breakfast became a lovely ritual: greeting the staff in their classic uniforms downstairs, then having homemade yogurt, freshly baked bread, brewed coffee, and fresh real fruit juice. Afterward, I explored the hotel, petted the kittens, and played chess in the cozy library. Even those simple things felt delightful. It felt like a home away from home, and I’m deeply grateful for the warmth we received. I’m sure I’ll return soon. A heartfelt thank you to Amy, who made our stay even more wonderful when I thought it couldn’t get any better.

I’d happily come back. The place leaves you wanting to return because of the way it makes you feel, with spaces that encourage you to slow down and settle in. Nothing seems designed just to show off. The service stood out: warm and attentive, but never intrusive. The architecture, materials, and lighting all feel carefully chosen, with a nice balance between contemporary design and the natural surroundings. It’s a thoughtful, quiet kind of luxury.

We had drinks from Windows Café & Restaurant by the pool at sunset. Watching the sky slowly change colour made for a simple, lovely moment. The pool has a cosy and relaxing feel.

We visited the restaurant, not the hotel. The building has a lovely colonial style and creates a nice atmosphere. The wooded setting is close to a small village, but Chiang Mai town is about a 35-minute drive away, with very little nearby. We ordered salads and noodle dishes. The portions were small, the taste was average, and the menu didn’t feel balanced. For the prices, the food didn’t offer enough value, so the visit was mediocre.
