The rooms had grey, moldy-looking ceilings with patches all over, on both the 6th and 8th floors. The toilet drainage also gave off a stink a few hours after we arrived for our May 14-16, 2026 stay at Aloha hotel, booked as two rooms. Perfume and an air humidifier didn't help, so we complained and asked to move. The front desk woman took a picture on my phone and said she'd ask maintenance to repaint. I wonder how many times she's said that to guests. I had to go up and down three times to change rooms and get the keys/cards, which caused us a lot of trouble. We also asked for room cleaning, but housekeeping still hadn't turned up after a few hours. We should have viewed the rooms before agreeing to take them. I'd rather stay at Le Garden, which is much closer to restaurants, food centres, and shopping centres.

Back from Hatyai after one night at Aloha hotel, April 4 and checked out April 5. Affordable, well located, and the staff were friendly. No deposit needed, either. Lee garden is just a few minutes' walk away for halal food, and there's a 7e right beside the hotel, hehe. Petrol or diesel is back to normal now, so no worries about that. Recommended!

The bathroom kept smelling foul, no matter how much water I used to clean it. They give plenty of bottled water, but no coffee or tea, and no toothpaste or toothbrush. When I asked, the front desk just said, “7-11.” I'd only recommend this place for its location.

After the big flooding, my room still smelled of sewage and irritated my throat. The porter sprayed it, but that didn't help. By the next morning I was coughing and vomiting badly, so I checked out right away and moved to another hotel. The other hotels had the same foul smell, and I eventually took a train out of Hatyai. The whole township should be fully renovated before visiting again, maybe in another 6-8 months.

The staff were welcoming and very professional. The location is handy too, right by Robinson shopping centre, Hat yai Junction train station, 7 eleven, and lots of local food places. Markets and shopping streets are walkable, and the Fabulous Asean night bazar is about a 10-minute taxi or tuk-tuk ride away.
