Hatyai Greenview Hotel

The rooms are pretty big for this price and have everything you need. It’s about a ten-minute walk from the town centre, and the place is quiet and very clean. The staff are fantastically friendly and helpful. Over the years, this is the only hotel I’ve checked into without fail. I’m sure you won’t regret staying here.

Back after six months, this time with a family member and in a family room for four. The room is spacious and, I think, reasonably priced compared with other family rooms. It was clean around the hotel and in the room, and the staff were still pleasant, attentive and helpful. We were on Level 3, where the WiFi signal was strong, though it probably depends on how far your room is from the router. There’s ample car parking, with someone watching over it at night. I was glad to see a few improvements: lights by the restaurant entrance now show when it’s open, and there’s a handy corner for buying drinks and snacks, especially at night. They’ve also set up a Tour Desk to advise on and arrange visits or tours. I haven’t used it yet, but it seems like a great idea. A few things could still be better. They should make it clearer at reception that you can borrow a thermal flask or hair dryer. It might be time to put hair dryers and electric kettles in the family rooms. Complimentary 3-in-1 coffee and tea in the room would be a plus, and the hotel could use some decorations inside and more greenery around it.

For nearby trips, a toot toot van takes about ten minutes and costs 20 baht to Central Festival, big C, Tesco, makro and ASEAN night market. It’s around a ten-minute walk to Kim Yong mkt, Lee Gardens buffet, and the town’s street hawkers and shops. The price is reasonable, under RM 100. Staff are friendly and helpful, and WiFi reaches the room. It’s reasonably clean, with a TV that has a few dozen channels, including some in English and Chinese.

The staff are nice, and I really liked the rocking chair. The room has a big refrigerator, its own router and 2.0hp aircond. Shopping centre is a bit far, about a 10-minute walk.
