The couple who own the place are nice, but the rooms and toilets are barely passable. Even at the low price, it doesn't feel like good value. If you can pay a little more, I'd avoid staying here.

We liked being able to open the windows at night and get plenty of air, thanks to the mosquito screens. The room was simple but comfortable, clean, and very quiet. Organic Foods Market is a lovely health food shop about a five-minute walk away, and Big C mall is four minutes on foot. The ASEAN night market and Central Hatyai mall are around a ten-minute drive.

The private apartment wasn't expensive, but it wasn't comfortable. The blanket was just a towel, and I slept so poorly that I moved to another hostel.

The landlord carefully opened my window and curtains from outside to look into my room. It was so rude and crazy. He said he only wanted to clean, even though I'd told him at check-in that I would clean the room myself. Then, after I told him no, he insisted that I open the door and let him in to mop the floor. Make sure the window is locked when you're inside. He charged 300 baht to clean the bedsheets and towels. For comparison, public laundry costs just 20-40 baht.

The building is older, but the place was clean and perfectly adequate for the very low price. It's pretty nice, as long as you don't expect a five-star hotel. I'd stay here again.
