I was there for the last three days of September 2018 and loved it. The owner and staff were nice, and the room was very clean and spacious, with a balcony. It had a refrigerator, microwave, sink and cable TV, and was very good value. The beach is about half a block away.

The beach is only a two-minute walk away, with restaurants, som tam carts, seafood stalls and a 7-11 close by. Beer bars and a sports bar are a short walk along Soi Bus Station, but nights at the hotel were quiet and I slept well. I’ve been staying at Dream Boutique for about five years, and the owners are great, helpful people who are interesting to talk with. This time I paid 800b for a queen room for seven nights. Rooms range from 600b to 1200b. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve had in Thailand, where beds are often rock-hard. There was a recliner, desk, wardrobe, full-size fridge, kitchenette with sink and dishes, microwave, kettle, and a balcony with table and chairs. The AC was quiet, the shower had hot water, and the WiFi was strong and fast. The TV was a bit old but worked fine, with a few English channels. No fancy extras like shampoo or ear buds, but it had what I needed for a comfortable stay. I’ll keep coming back.
