Baan Opun Garden Resort

Noi and Bob are very welcoming and do a great job looking after the resort. The private bungalows are clean, well kept, and up to a good standard, with a very reasonable price for the quality and location. It's a quiet spot close to the madness of soi 94. If you're after good rooms and chilled vibes, this may be the one for you.

The bungalows sit in gardens and have roomy interiors, big beds, and their own terraces. There's a nice pool with sunbeds, and the owners are very pleasant. It's a quiet area close to bars and restaurants, with the beach and Market Village about a 20-minute walk away. Market Village is a must, with a great food hall and very reasonable prices. Recommend Bann Opun if you want somewhere quiet but near everything.

The cottages are cozy, set among lush greenery, and the location is surprisingly central, just off soi 94, with cafes and restaurants a short walk away. My girlfriend and I booked three nights hoping to relax, but we left after one. The Wi-Fi kept disappearing several times a day, which was extremely frustrating, especially if you rely on it for work. The beds were incredibly hard, like sleeping on the floor. We might have put up with those issues, but the dogs outside made the place feel unpleasant and unsafe. About 50 meters from the entrance was a group of three homeless dogs. One was aggressive, following us while barking, growling, and nipping at our feet. We saw two other guests have the same experience and felt trapped inside the compound with the dog lurking outside. The owners also have two dogs inside the compound. They said one was “nice,” but the other would bite children. It's an okay place if you don't need internet and don't mind being dogfood. It could be awesome with a stable Wi-Fi connection and without the crazy dogs. Not much to ask.

A lovely little piece of paradise. The individual one-bedroom bungalows are lovely and clean, so no kids. The pool was warm and very clean. It's far enough away to feel peaceful but close enough for bars and restaurants. Very special.
