We stayed for two nights in early November, and the place was so quiet it felt like we had it to ourselves. The pool area is great, with a good view and a path straight into the sea. Our room had a private pool that got sun for most of the day. The location is a little remote, but cabs are easy to find and very cheap. The food is decent and fairly priced, as is the minibar. The hotel staff are very friendly. I’d highly recommend it and would stay again.

It’s a little dated, but still a fantastic hotel, and I’d stay again, though next time I’d choose a pool villa. Staying in the lookmai beachfront villa was magical. The area is very secluded and peaceful, near the royal summer palace. Reception staff were super friendly and helpful, and let me rent a motorcycle for just ฿250 a day, which made it easy to get into the town centre. The villa doesn’t have its own private pool, unlike the other rooms, but it has direct access to the main pool, which was pretty quiet anyway. The booking site listed a hot tub, but there wasn’t one, just a bath. Breakfast was included and basic, with western options like toast and cereal, plus eggs cooked to your choice.

The Afternoon Tea by the sea was a highlight, with Thai traditional desserts served to the sound of the waves. The presentation was beautiful, and the personal, heartfelt feel of the service and design made me feel like a princess in a coastal retreat. I stayed in the Private Pool Suite, a spacious, warm room where contemporary design meets traditional charm. Natural wood and soft lighting made it feel calm and intimate. The boutique resort sits beside Hua Hin Palace, with lush tropical gardens opening onto the sea. It has the quiet grace of aristocratic Thai heritage, and feels elegant and private. The beautiful design and location right by the sea are the biggest strengths here. The room, though, had very high humidity and didn’t feel properly cleaned. Lights in the public area stayed on all night, shining straight into the room and making it hard to sleep. I tried calling staff to ask them to turn them off, but nobody answered. It was frustrating that such simple things weren’t dealt with. They affected the comfort of the stay, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. I hope management fixes these issues, because the place and its location have a lot of potential.
