Breakfast was a highlight, with food cooked fresh when you order. The pool is small, but it suits the number of guests and we could always find a sunbed. It’s a small hotel with the quality and cleanliness of a much bigger one, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

There’s no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner, but it’s only a 15-minute walk to the main restaurant area, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops along the way. The hotel itself is spotless, quiet, and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is excellent. Breakfast was excellent too.

We were sorry to leave Golf Villa Hotel. It’s a lovely little place, and a short drive takes you to the railway station. The hotel is a bit out of town, which suited us because the town is very busy. A Grab taxi into town takes only a few minutes and costs about 70 baht. There’s a crystal-clear pool with sunbeds, and all the staff are genuinely friendly. One woman was especially cheerful and always smiling, which made us feel welcome right away. Breakfast was fresh and good, with omelettes and eggs made to order. Our large room had decent air conditioning, a reasonable hot shower, and a comfortable bed and pillows. The beds are made daily, and they left two or three bottles of water each day. We also had coffee and tea facilities, soap, and shampoo.

We really enjoyed how calm the pool area was, and the room was very comfortable. The staff were lovely too. Hua Hin centre is a bit of a ride away, but Bolt taxis make getting around quick. The beach and a few nice restaurants are just a stroll away. A great spot for a relaxing holiday.
