Ibis Hua Hin

The room was very clean and cleaned every day, and the staff were friendly. It’s a nice small hotel with full services, a pleasant pool, and service at the pool. The rooms are quite small. Breakfast had a large enough selection, but the eggs and most dishes were cold to medium in heat, which was disappointing. I learned to get a bowl of hot water and hotpot my own food :)

We had a lovely stay for three nights with our family, booking two rooms. The pool was nice, the beach was easy to reach on foot, and breakfast was very good. There seemed to be only one person at reception during busy check-in and checkout times. Before arriving, I tried calling several times without getting through. I also emailed to ask for rooms on the same floor so we could be near family, but never got a reply.

The rooms were clean and hygienic, and the staff were nice. The bed was too soft for me, though that’s personal. You can walk to nearby places like the shopping malls or monkey mountain.

I’ve been here a week, with two more still to go. The location works for me because taxis pass often on the main road and there are restaurants nearby. The town centre and shopping take a while to reach on foot, but I have a scooter, so that’s fine. My room is small but adequate and quiet. The balcony’s too small to really relax on. I haven’t tried the restaurant. The staff have been helpful and attentive. A couple of minor bathroom plumbing and A/C issues were fixed quickly. The hotel is reasonable and good value, but far from perfect. The pool area is the biggest disappointment for me. It’s shady most of the time because it’s on the north side of the complex, and road noise is always there, so it doesn’t feel especially relaxing. The water is a little too cold, and I didn’t see anyone using the pool while I was there. There may not be much they can do, but I wanted to mention it. I like spending afternoons by a relaxing pool, so I’d look elsewhere next time.
