The staff’s helpfulness really made this hostel stand out. He was very friendly and ready to help, and his advice came in handy on several occasions. It’s about a three-minute walk to the beach, with a water tap outside for rinsing off sandy things. Rooms are cleaned daily, even though guests can come in with sand on their feet. My room had a balcony for drying clothes, though I’m not sure every room does. There are large lockers in the room and near reception, a dryer, and basic cooking supplies like oil and salt. They provide drinking water too. I was very happy here and would like to return, whether or not I’m doing marine sports.

James at the front desk was especially helpful, sorting out my laundry and suggesting things to do and how to reach the beach, which is under a five-minute walk away. I came to Hua Hin to get out of Bangkok for a bit, and this highly recommended hostel seemed brand new. The beds in my 8-10-bed room were wide and comfortable, with charging ports, lights, hooks, key lockers, and a balcony. The air conditioning temperature was adjustable. Bathrooms and showers are on every floor, with hot water, good pressure, and very clean. There’s a kitchen upstairs and a smoking balcony where you can catch some sunset. Wi-Fi was very good, and a towel was included. The desk is open until around 7-7:30 pm; after that, the doors lock but you can enter with your room key card. It’s a 20-minute walk to the walking street market, with a huge mall less than three minutes away, plus a 7/11 and Tops. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe walking around. The comfort, friendly service, price, and location were all great, and I’d highly recommend it.

James made the place feel welcoming from the start, and when I came back recently he remembered me from a single stay a year earlier. That really touched me, and it was lovely to see him again. He’s the only staff member, but handles reception, guest help, cleaning, and making beds so smoothly. I’ve stayed in plenty of guesthouses, and he’s one of the kindest and most professional people I’ve met in one. His suggestions for cute cafés, places to get a drink, cat cafés, and unusual spots were all wonderful, including places I wouldn’t have found myself. The hostel has a lovely atmosphere. Rooms have balconies for hanging clothes or sitting in the night breeze, and upstairs there’s a kitchen for cooking plus a comfortable place to work or relax. It’s only a few minutes from the beach, so I could pop out for sunset, come back, then head out again for sunrise. I first stayed about a year ago because it was affordable, and the experience was amazing. I’ll definitely return and look forward to talking with James again. Highly recommended.

James is super friendly and helpful with anything you need, and the service was the best. Great value for money, too. The beach is a one-minute walk away, the mall is five minutes away, and there are a few markets nearby. This is the best hostel I’ve stayed at. I’ll definitely come back and couldn’t recommend it more!
