I picked this guesthouse for the good location, affordable price, and the handy room safe. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep, and I was surprised to find sliding doors with screens. The street felt quiet and safe, and the other guests were polite, so the atmosphere was peaceful. The stairs could make it difficult for anyone with mobility challenges. The place isn’t perfect, but for a budget guesthouse the positives far outweigh the minor shortcomings. Staff were friendly and dealt with my concerns with a great attitude, which I appreciated. It felt like great value for the price, and I’d definitely recommend it to travelers wanting an affordable, welcoming place in a convenient area.

Our first and only stay in this area turned out to be a good choice. The family-run business has a warm feel, and the staff were smiling, polite, and incredibly quick. The price was reasonable for the comfort and service, so it felt like good value. We’re already looking forward to coming back. The whole building has been renovated and feels fresh and modern while keeping its cozy charm. The room was well maintained, with a spacious, practical bathroom, plenty of hot water, and air conditioning that worked well. The sheets, pillows, and pillowcases were spotless and felt fresh. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to get a good night’s sleep. There were mostly older guests, including many Western retirees, which added to the quiet feel. We tried a few dishes and found them fresh and tasty, though I’m no food expert. The chicken wings were a little dry and seemed to have been cooked ahead and reheated. Apart from that, we enjoyed the meal and thought the food was well prepared. A lovely, comfortable place for a short or longer stay.

I’ve known this guest house since the 90s. It’s had many different owners over the years, but the place still has a nice vibe and its spirit is okay.

This is a restaurant review only. We got to the hotel across the road quite late, after 12 pm, and this was the only restaurant still open. I think the kitchen had closed, but they were happy to make us some amazing food anyway. The ladies serving us were lovely and so cheerful 😁. It was a really nice experience and great value for money.
