The Hua Hin Hotel

There’s no elevator, and we found the bathroom in Room 401 in awful shape. Mold covered the shower and floor, the tiles were grimy, and there was a clump of hair on the door frame. I felt sick looking at it, and ended up crying when I realized we’d have to stay because it was already 6 pm. The room itself was fine, but the bathroom seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned since the place opened. I believe the bed, bathroom, and toilet should always be clean. Those are basic hotel features. We arrived early in the morning, but the receptionist didn’t appear until around 8 or 9 am. That seemed to be the only time she was there in person. Otherwise, you had to call her. We left our bags and went into town for business, then came back in the evening. A security guard checked us in. He only spoke Thai and couldn’t understand us, even with a translator. I hope the hotel sees this and starts cleaning the rooms, or at least stops assigning rooms like this to guests. Maybe you’ll get a clean one, but I’d refuse Room 401.

There’s no elevator, so you have to take the stairs, and the staff were bad. For this price, you can find another hotel with a good view.

Khun Su at reception lent us her phone chargers and brought us extra pillows so we could get a lovely, restful night’s sleep. Thanks to her, we’ll definitely come back 😍

We had a great time, and for the price this place was more than worth it. The staff were really kind and helped with everything. The rooms are basic, but very, very clean, and you can ask to have yours cleaned as often as you like. Good shower, working AC and fridge. The TV picture isn’t great, but hey :) The beach is a five-minute walk away. You do have to cross the main road, though after doing it once or twice it’s not too bad. Restaurants and the mall are about 10-15 minutes on foot, or three minutes by local taxi. There’s no pool, despite what the picture shows, but we didn’t mind with the ocean so close. The reception area is nicely set up, with a couch and high ceilings. You can have free coffee and tea any time, and borrow a safe at reception. Greetings to the staff!
