Taphouse Guest House

I booked three nights in room 15 in June, but stayed eight nights because the room worked well for a longer visit. It's basic but spacious, with a settee, a chair, a desk, a fridge and a kettle. The couch is comfortable and seats three or four, with a coffee table. Water and coffee sachets are replenished daily, or you can get them at reception without any trouble. The AC kept the room cool. The bed has a firm mattress and a light duvet. The work table is beside it, with the two electrical sockets. A short corridor leads to the bathroom, with a wardrobe and shelves. The bathroom is fully tiled and has an electric shower, standard Thai-style toilet, liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. One flaw is that the floor doesn't slope toward the drain, so water doesn't run into it properly. There are tables, benches and sun loungers in the garden at the back. The hotel is in the middle of the entertainment area, so the streets are loud, but the rooms are at the back and only a little noise reaches them. I slept fine. The beach, cafes, restaurants and bars are all walkable, and even the nearest mall is within walking distance. Staff are great, everything works, and the facilities are complete and comfortable. I had a fantastic stay and would happily come again. It's great value for the money.

Everything was within walking distance, and the staff were polite and helpful. The room was bigger than I expected, and I was very happy with what I paid. Would I stay again? Absolutely.

It's a small, local-style guest house, nothing fancy, but it suited us. We were behind the pink/red building, upstairs, and the bed was comfortable enough for me. It was a five to eight minute walk to the beach, with two different ways to get there, so no need to follow the HuaHin beach location. The woman on staff was lovely and had a real service attitude, 10/10 ❤️ We waited 10-15 minutes for the room, which was okay. The reception had fans but no AC, though that was alright too 🔥😆 We booked a fan room at first, but changed to an AC room for another 200 baht a day because it was so hot on 9th April 2025. The AC room costs 800-900 baht per day, and the fan room is 550-650 baht, depending on high or low season. I just hope it won't get too noisy.

The street has a great atmosphere, and the hotel is in the old town with bars and restaurants everywhere. The beach is within 200 meters. My room was well equipped and a good size for the price. I worried it might be noisy in the evenings, but it wasn't. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast had a decent selection and tasty meals, and the AC was quiet and easy to adjust. There's motorbike parking on the premises. It definitely exceeded my expectations!
