The Barai’s standout feature is its overall design, which makes the place feel truly special. The accommodation and treatment suites are lovely, and the 50-metre pool is a real pleasure for swimming. The wellness facility offers a brilliant way to explore the wellbeing journey you choose. Even if you’re not staying there, book a few treatments so you can see the beautiful building and spa.

The one thing I’d change is the temperature of the private pool. It sits mostly in the shade, so it felt a bit too cold. Otherwise, the service was outstanding, from breakfast and beach service to drinks and evening pre-dinner snacks. We loved our huge Pool Suite, especially its incredibly comfortable bed, the largest I’ve ever seen. It came with lots of amenities, including in-room massage options, a steam room, and a Japanese toilet. Massages at the spa and in our suite were both very good, and the tranquil pool was a special, wonderful place to swim. This was my favorite experience of the trip. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The aromatherapy massage in my private suite was deeply relaxing. It was expertly tailored, with Thai techniques and soothing oils. The price is on the high side for a spa, but I thought this distinctive experience was worth it. The building itself is the most impressive spa I’ve visited, with lush tropical grounds, detailed corridors, and beautiful ocean views. It feels peaceful, almost like a temple. I highly recommend it.

The architecture and calm, zen-like atmosphere made the spa feel breathtaking from start to finish. A friend and I had a scrub and massage together, with Peng and Koi treating us. They were skilled, professional, and outstanding. Peng gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had, and I’d highly recommend it.

The décor is uniquely beautiful, making the spa feel like another world. Everyone welcomed us warmly, and Khun Dao and Khun Noi gave excellent treatments. I came away completely relaxed.
