Rabbiz Hill Resort

The sunsets were beautiful, but I was completely disappointed by this hotel. It's very old, tucked in the jungle, and the rooms are small. It might suit people on retreats, perhaps, but the facilities and food let me down. The tiny gym had nothing working, and the small sauna didn't work either. Breakfast was poor, and at one point they said they were out of tomatoes. I asked why they hadn't bought them beforehand and got no answer. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was poor as well. The shower was odd, just a waterfall with no handheld shower hose, and the water pressure was weak and barely warm. The toilet and shower are down a flight of stairs with no railing, which felt unsafe. The nearest convenience store is 11 km away. There are elephant warning signs along the paths, so I couldn't take a relaxed walk.

I came for one night and found it very peaceful, with few guests since it wasn't a weekend. The room was comfortable enough and very clean, though I wished there'd been a bench for my bag. Breakfast was great, but the coffee wasn't very good. It's a remote forest resort, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet sanctuary among big trees to recharge. Just watch out for mosquitos.

A quiet resort far from everything, so it's a nice escape from the city. Finding nearby attractions and places to eat can be a bit difficult.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and there's a lovely view. Around the property there's a rabbit enclosure and a large lake, plus an excellent pool and a sauna. There's a restaurant on site, though you'll need transport to reach the shops. The weak internet was the main drawback.
