Rimkaeng Resort

It's fine for one night, and you could stay longer if you're not too fussy about where you sleep. The lakefront setting is pleasant, the window view is great, and the room is spacious with plenty of space for bags. There's a large fridge, car parking, and hot water with good pressure. It was charming and fairly quiet during our stay, with birds singing, though it may be noisier when the hotel is full. The room itself is basic and a bit old, and the hotel felt somewhat unclean. The beds are hard, and there was dirt in the rooms and too few outlets. The bathroom has no hooks for towels, and there was no soap or shampoo, only shower gel. The air conditioner blows straight at the bed and we couldn't redirect it; switching it off made the room hot and stuffy. Almost nobody speaks English, and we couldn't get WiFi access. There was no one at reception to help us. All in all, it's an okay choice for a single night.

The lake view is lovely, and the restaurant there is okay. But the sheets and towel were very old and not clean, and I could feel a lot of dust in the room. The door knob lock felt very weak, and there was no key card. A woman shouldn't stay there alone.

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. It was dirty everywhere and full of vermin. The bathroom had neither a light nor a window. The hotel's good days seem to be over, and now they're squeezing the last money out of a pile of scrap.
