The coffee shop was a real highlight, and the staff were friendly. It's also an easy walk from the bus terminal. I paid 400 BHT as a walk-in, less than Agoda was offering. The rooms are basic, but I like finding places with this much character. It's an old hotel and a decent budget stay with a nostalgic feel.

The café in the building serves delicious food and is well worth a visit. We loved the clean rooms, the charming service, and the really friendly staff. The air conditioning and fridge both worked well. It's a bit dated, which is part of the appeal if you enjoy a place that feels like a step back in time.

Room 321 had air conditioning and a good shower, and it was quiet on the third floor. In the morning, I was surprised to find a grand café with good coffee. The hotel, from 1981, has a lovely classic Thai feel that you don't get in modern places. It's right in the centre, with plenty of parking, and the whole place has an old Thailand feel.

A kettle was a nice touch, though I had to put it on the floor because there were no free sockets except under the table. They didn't provide cups, coffee, or sugar, but I always bring my own. We also had to ask for the Wi-Fi password, and the bidet spray didn't work. Reception offered another room, but we'd already showered and settled in. Still, it's a comfortable, reasonably priced cheap hotel.
