Bamboo House Kanchanaburi

A little hidden place on the water, with three kinds of rooms. The reception was wonderful, respectful, and welcoming, with that famous Thai smile. They cleaned our room even though we stayed only two nights, and breakfast was readily available. It's reasonably close to the Bridge on the River Kwai. You can leave your car just a stone's throw from the track and shops, with no charge.

Lovely river setting, friendly hosts, and rooms in a range of types and prices. There's secure parking for bicycles.

We had a lovely stay and will be back. The houseboats can get noisy at night when people are partying, so it isn't always that relaxing, but otherwise it was quite nice.

The staff were kind and friendly, and the internet was decent for our two-day stay. The breakfast lady made nice fried rice or eggs the way you like them. It's well placed, just a short walk from other places to eat and bike rentals. We were in the concrete building, looking out on a small garden, which was peaceful enough for a good night's sleep. The bigger garden with wooden houses looked prettier and had a great river view.
