Golden Dragon Resort

I've stayed here many times and the service has been good. Staff are available around the clock. There's a raft by the riverbank where you can fish, take in the view, or have a drink, and there are lots of kinds of fish to catch.

You'll find food easily here, with both a restaurant and coffee shop inside the resort. It's not far from town and easy to spot thanks to the big sign. The river views are lovely, though floating discos pass throughout the day and music plays all day. Riverside rooms with air conditioning cost 1,500 THB.

Our four-person room, one of the blue and pink rooms, was beside the road and cost 1,500 baht, reduced from 1,600. The rooms with water views are for two people and run 1,000-1,200 baht. Breakfast isn't included, which makes the price feel high. The room wasn't clean and had a musty smell, like it hadn't been occupied much. Gecko droppings were all over the bathroom walls, and I even found some on the bed when I lifted the sheets to get ready for sleep. At check-in, staff had to bring a broom to sweep the floor. The property sits by the road, with a cafe out front, and has rooms for groups of two to six.

We could order barbecue from the resort and eat it on our room balcony, which was really nice. The room was lovely, clean, and right next to the river. The place itself was clean too, and the staff were sweet and took good care of us. The atmosphere was very good.
