The Glory River Kwai Hotel

The view is the best, and the rooms are big with good AC. There's a swimming pool and the service is good. It's cheap enough compared with other places of this rank. I highly recommend it. Only con for me: there's no gym.

The hotel has a beautiful setting, and we felt truly welcome there. The staff were incredibly friendly and always very helpful.

The location is good, overlooking the river, and all the balconies face it. With a car, you're close to everything you need. The staff were nice, though their English was limited. I expected more after seeing the reviews and photos. The hotel and pool weren't very well maintained, and breakfast was average. The bed was VERY hard, so I slept badly. I also had to ask for a kettle, and the shower head had nowhere to rest, which meant showering in the bathtub. For the price, I wouldn't come back.

The river view is relaxing, the location is very good, and the room was large and clean. Breakfast was just normal. Still, I had a really upsetting experience when we checked out. We found a tyre on our car had been punctured by a CUTTER in the parking lot. That had never happened to us before. A gardener employee pointed it out, kindly offered help, and called a garage. It took a long time for them to arrive, so I looked up nearby tyre garages myself. There are several very close to the hotel, and they charged much less. One came quickly with a temporary spare, changed it, and we went to their garage 10 minutes from the hotel. The tyre was replaced in under 15 minutes, at a cost four times lower than the first garage called by our kind gardener employee. She said the same bad thing had already happened to some clients. If it happens to you, please call the nearby garage "Cockpit" (picture attached), and don't follow the gardener lady's advice.
