For what we paid, this place was more than fine. The market is about a seven-minute walk and the beach around 15 minutes. The furniture showed some age and wear, but it all worked, and the mattress was really comfortable. The air conditioning was effective and the water pressure was surprisingly strong. The staff were very helpful, too, and waited for us even though we arrived at 1 a.m. We really appreciated that. Thanks for such a nice start to our vacation. :)
The guest house is on a quiet street, about five minutes from the food market and shopping stalls, and a ten-minute walk to the Beach. Breakfast was delicious, and the big comfortable bed and clean, tidy room made for a good stay. The room decor has a nostalgic feel. The manager can also arrange attraction tickets at good prices. Thank you.
The street is quiet, with the beach and night market very close, and there’s a nice view of the houses across the road. They offer printing and laundry on site, and a very good bike rental is only a few meters away. The man at the print office was the most welcoming person there, and I’d definitely recommend him if you need anything printed. I expected the place to be friendlier and cleaner. I checked out early but they wouldn’t refund me. The curtains were dirty despite having laundry facilities, and some furniture was old and rusty. The lamp and closet were broken, as shown in the photos. There was enough space and plenty of hangers, but those problems gave me a poor impression of how the place was maintained. Wi-Fi was too weak for a Zoom video call, though it worked for social media.
It’s an OK guesthouse down a backstreet, past Kata Grand Vip. The price is negotiable, and since they run a cleaning business, you may be able to get a decent room for under 1800 bath. Booking ahead can make it cheaper. I’d recommend it.
The owners are a really lovely family, and that’s why I’ve stayed here several times. It’s close to the night markets but tucked far enough away to stay quiet. The rooms are clean, and they can wash your clothes if you’ve been on the road for a while. I’d happily return and recommend it to others.
