We arrived about ten minutes after booking online, but they wouldn't let us check in. The administration seemed to invent rules as they went along and avoided communicating in English, even when we tried an online translator. We didn't stay, but were still charged for the room, which felt unjustified since it hadn't been booked in advance. I'm not even sure they had a room available. It was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend it. We trusted the high rating without realizing it came from very few reviews.

Everything else was perfect, though the water pressure was a little weak. Highly recommend! 👍🏼

We stayed for a month and things were fine, apart from the uphill climb. We mostly got around on our bikes, so it wasn't much of a problem. But when we left, they gave us an electricity bill for 4,100 baht. Just a warning to others: we definitely won't return, and we'll avoid Baan Kawkaew Kata. All the best.
