We had a great couple of days here and would recommend it. The room was comfortable, and the staff were kind. If the mattress feels too firm, they can bring a topper. Breakfast was nice and worked well for us. The pools were pleasant and never too busy. It’s a 7-10 minute walk to the ocean, and there’s a scooter rental right outside the hotel. We also got a really good price.

We spent eight nights here and had a fantastic stay. The resort’s quality and style really impressed me, and the service was friendly and polite with every guest. It’s not right in the city center, but the beach is an easy walk away. Thanks for all the help from the resort staff. We appreciated it and highly recommend the place. We’ll be back next year.

I had a brilliant stay at Chanalai Hillside Resort. The location was good, the service was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable. Highly recommend it!

The hotel is beautiful and in an amazing location, but I don’t think it works well for families with young kids. It seems better suited to couples or groups of friends, since the pool is about the only activity for children. Our room looked nice, but the shower had a huge window you could see through. There was a curtain to pull down, though I found that inappropriate for a hotel described as family-friendly. Service was also poor: we waited far too long for things to be brought to our room and had to call reception several times before anyone responded. One woman hung up while I was still speaking. Completely unprofessional.
