Mitsu Guesthouse, Karon Beach

A quiet, cozy place at the edge of the tourist area, with large rooms and nice managers. Shops and other things are right nearby. The sea takes about 12-15 minutes to reach on foot, so it's not far, but good to know. I expected less, but Mitzu gives you more than it costs.

My room was spacious, spotless, and had everything I needed. The owner clearly has good taste and is thoughtful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd be happy to return.

The house and the room were both spacious, modern, and very clean. We were told this was a fairly new place, but it felt more established and luxurious than plenty of other hotels we've stayed in. Staff were friendly and stepped in whenever we needed help. The location worked well, with places and attractions close enough to reach easily. This has been one of our favourite stays on our travels so far, and we'd absolutely recommend it.

The room had so many thoughtful basics, from a laundry rack, scissors, cutlery, and tableware to pretty much anything else you might need. It felt like somewhere I could settle in and live a normal life. The fridge was nearly twice the size of the ones in most 5-star hotels, and on the third floor there's a chill room for laundry and simple cooking, stocked with seasonings for guests. I loved this sweet little hotel. It's super clean and affordable, right next to a 7-Eleven, and you can tell the owner puts their heart into it. The staff were so helpful. There's also a small drink bar right outside, where milk tea and other drinks cost just 19 baht. I'd absolutely love to come back.
