I spent six nights here and ended up falling for the place. It’s up on a hill, so it stays away from the noise, and there’s a jungle trail nearby that leads to the Big Buddha. My two-bedroom suite had its own kitchen, a big balcony, and a lovely view. The hosts were welcoming, and the beds were comfortable after long walks. A great fit if you have your own transport.

The rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable, and would suit a couple or a small family. We stayed downstairs first, then moved up to the second floor. The view felt quite different from there, and I especially liked sitting on the balcony looking out at the sea and sunset. The owner and his wife were friendly and helpful. It’s a long way from the beach, so walking to Kata probably isn’t practical, but it works well if you have a bike or car and want somewhere quiet and romantic.

The mattress was superb, and the condo had clearly been decorated with care. We also got fresh chicken eggs each morning. We stayed here last year and had a lovely time, with amazing owners and a great view. Such a sweet atmosphere.

Booking was easy, the price was good, and the staff were helpful. Everything was clean. It’s a basic hotel, but you get a quiet, private stay and a decent view. The mattress and pillows were especially soft.
