The Nin Resort

The peaceful setting was a big part of the charm, with no other resorts or restaurants nearby. That seclusion may not suit everyone. We stayed for three nights and were very happy. The resort is lovely and well kept, with wooden bungalows and a beautiful private beach. The staff were kind, and the manager helped us arrange a scooter and gave us recommendations for the area. There’s a restaurant with a large choice, though vegetarian options are limited. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The beach and pool are great, but the facilities weren’t worth the price. The resort needs better management and upkeep. My main problems were the service and food. Our room smelled of durian, and Manager TJ had a bad attitude, wasn’t professional, and didn’t apologize or help with our luggage. The housekeeping staff and handyman were the only ones who said sorry. A manager running a hotel in Thailand should have a service mind. The first time he apologized was after raw fish in our fish and chips, when he offered complimentary krapao. It was undercooked and not worth the price. We ate dinner at the resort both nights with the same menu. The first meal was okay, but the next day the food was salty and sweet. Staff said they had a different chef, which left the taste inconsistent and below standard. We were told at check-in to be quiet, but people in the next room talked loudly and disturbed us all night. If you’re coming to relax, this may not be the place. Water pressure was very poor, making it a challenge to wash long hair. At breakfast, flies were all over the fruit and other food that was left uncovered. They asked us our preferred main dish in advance on the first day but not the second, and both meals took a long time anyway. The first night we had a duvet, but the second night only cheap brown blankets. One of us cut herself on a nail sticking up from the wooden floor on the second floor near the bed. The next day, we told the handyman, who quickly brought us a first aid kit to clean the wound. He was kind from the first day, thumbs up to him 👍

The resort is beautiful and peaceful, right on its own beach with no neighbouring resorts. The little houses are cute and have everything you need, and the freshly made food tastes amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. I booked the wrong transfer to Ko Samui, and they did all they could to help get a refund and book another trip. Thank you Baan Thong Ching Resort. We’ll be back 😉

There isn’t much around the hotel, but that makes it a great spot if all you want is to unwind for 2-3 days. We spent two nights here on a very private, beautiful beach and loved every moment. The rooms are lovely, especially the villas near the beach, where you can hear the sea all night. Everyone on staff was so nice. A real hidden gem!
