The Briza Beach Resort Khaolak

The Premium Beach Front Room comes with personal sunbeds, and the location is handy, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. The pier for trips to Similan and Surin Islands is 15 minutes away. We went with Wow Andaman, a great operator. Ask for an upper floor because the view from the lower floor isn’t as good. I stayed five days. Breakfast was about 3.5 stars, and I’d get bored with it quickly on a longer stay. I only used the pool once because it was warm and had no shade, so it wasn’t refreshing. My main complaint is the very bad WiFi, one star for that. If you need internet for work, you’re in trouble. Overall, 3.75/5.

We extended our visit by one night because we were enjoying ourselves so much, and we’d love to return to The Briza Beach Resort. The location is hard to beat, with restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. Staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful with whatever we needed, and we really felt appreciated as guests. The bathroom is somewhat dated and could be cleaner in places, but given the excellent value, we found that acceptable. We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay and would recommend the hotel.

We had a Seaview room and could step straight out each morning to the view and our own sun lounges. There was loads of space inside, with a big comfy bed, couch, two chairs, a table and chairs, and a day bed on the patio. The bathroom layout was unusual, with the sink by the entrance because a massive bath took up space in the bathroom. We don’t use baths much, so that felt like wasted room, though some people might like it. The large walk-in shower suited us fine. The staff were fabulous and the beach glorious. The little village nearby was laid back and had everything we needed, with great restaurants and bars, plus a few shops and tailors. Paradise!

The sunsets were beautiful, and we enjoyed being able to walk along the beach when the tide wasn’t high. There were different places to sunbathe around the swim-up pool, so we could move when the shade reached our loungers. Food and drinks at the hotel were a little pricey, so we ate at local restaurants instead. We loved our stay.
