Mangrove Bay Krabi Beachfront Pool Villa

The hotel sits by a beach that feels quite private, in a peaceful natural setting far from the city. Tides change through the day. You can cycle, kayak, or ask staff about renting a boat to visit the Hong Islands for sightseeing or snorkeling. Parking is plentiful and covered. The owner is friendly, polite, and easy to approach, and gives helpful advice. The staff also provide excellent service. The pool is on the small side and reaches 1.3 meters at its deepest. Most rooms are beachfront with sea views, except Room 109, which has the pool in front. On regular weekdays, breakfast has to be ordered ahead. On weekends and busy periods there’s a buffet, with a good selection compared with other places nearby. The hotel has a restaurant and café too. They’re a little pricey, but the food and drinks are delicious and well worth it.

If you want quiet luxury, this is the place. It often felt as if we were the only couple there, which was lovely. I believe there are only 10 villas, so at full capacity there’d be roughly 20 guests. Our villa had a patio, plunge pool, and a giant bed, bigger than a king. The bedroom and living space both had excellent A/C, and the room was spacious and clean. The property is on a quiet bay away from the bustle of Krabi town, with little boat traffic or noise. There’s a pool and lounging area for villa guests, plus private beach and bay access with hammocks, a covered “bed,” sun chairs, and free double kayaks for exploring the mangrove forest. The tide pulls the water far back into the bay, so you can walk and explore easily. They also stock a range of wines by the bottle, which was a nice surprise. Staff went above and beyond for us. Our pre-booked Grab didn’t show up for a ferry, so they hired a driver for us.

A couples paradise. The area is quiet and there’s plenty of privacy. Every villa has its own deck and plunge pool overlooking the tidal bay. From the bedroom, lounge, and ground-floor balcony, the view is exquisite. The rooms are amazing.

It’s so calm out here, and really beautiful. We had a great stay, with friendly staff and rooms that had everything we needed. The breakfast was really nice too. The private beach and pool have a lovely view, though the sea can be rough and the tide goes a long way out and back into the mangroves, so you can’t really swim in the ocean. You can borrow a kayak for free, and we were also able to book a motorbike at the hotel.
