Anchan Laguna Hotel

Give at reception was especially helpful and got me a taxi to the bus station late at night. I enjoyed my stay at Anchan Laguna, and the twin room was very reasonably priced. It’s far from the main part of town, but tucked into its own lovely little corner. Nice place, and I’d stay again.

We’d stay again because it was quiet, clean enough, and the staff were really friendly. Quiet was our main priority, and the place delivered, though the room was small. The air conditioner was noisy and wasn’t cooling, but they fixed it. The filter was filthy, and it should have been sorted out before we arrived. Breakfast is NOT INCLUDED, costs 100 baht, and was mediocre at best.

The room service food was good and reasonably priced, and staff were friendly and accommodating. Several of them were especially nice to our daughter. The room was generally clean, though we found ants coming in at two spots to get snacks in our backpack. Once we moved snacks away from those places, we had no more ant problems. A couple of times there was an odor from the shower drain, but it went away after flushing it with water. We’d give the room 3.5 stars. Breakfast was a typical Thai breakfast. I could get scrambled eggs when I asked, though they aren’t usually served, and milk cost extra, but not too much. TV channels are only in Thai. WiFi was fine for browsing and email, but too slow for streaming movies or videos. Hallway noise was sometimes a problem when people spoke loudly or children ran through. We would recommend the hotel.

The rooms are small, and there’s no coffee in the room, so you have to go down to the lobby whenever you want some. There’s no cupboard for hanging clothes. The toilet setup is really bad: whenever I shower, water collects all over the floor because the drain doesn’t work properly. I complained to the staff, but nothing changed. The WiFi signal is poor and keeps disconnecting 😭😭😭😭
