Tom's house

I was quite pleased with my stay. The owners are a sweet young couple, and they leave coffee, bananas, and other snacks for breakfast. I paid 590 baht for a large room. It was clean and well maintained, with a clean bathroom and a shower spray with really strong pressure. The room got lovely sunlight and had a wonderful balcony. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance, and a 7/11 just two shops away.

They were fully booked and couldn’t host me, but Am and Tom still helped me find another room. They also sorted out everything for my trip and helped with Surin islands. They’re amazing, really helpful and professional.

Tom and his family are wonderful people. My second-floor room was beautiful and clean, with a lovely balcony. It’s right in the town centre, so the shops and markets are easy to explore. I was there during a spell of very heavy rain, so unfortunately I didn’t get to take any of the island tours they offer. Hopefully next time!

The location worked well for restaurants and a 7/11, and the owner was very kind and engaging when I told him what was bothering me. He offered breakfast with coffee, hard-boiled eggs, toast, and bananas. Wifi was great, there were plenty of outlets, and the balcony was a plus, though I didn’t use it. I paid 590 baht. I chose second-floor room A3 because the ground-floor rooms smelled strongly of mold. In my room there was mold on the ceiling, low water pressure, and a sink tap that pivoted, again. The bed was the hardest ever, I could’ve done handstands on it. There was an army of tiny ants everywhere. I don’t mind ants, but I eventually gave up shaking them off the bed. My travelling companion disagrees with my review, so today we’re writing separate ones. I’d give the room 2 stars.
