Baansanook Bungalows & Pool

The owners were lovely, very helpful and spoke great English, and the rooms are good for the price. My room had air conditioning, a fan, mini fridge, wardrobe and a desk with a mirror. The bathroom was a good size, with shampoo and soap provided. The pool is calm and relaxing, with leaves regularly cleared away, seating in the water, and tables, sun loungers and chairs beside it. Restaurants are within walking distance, and Lonely Beach, with bars and a beach, is a short motorbike ride away.

A peaceful spot for a good 4-6 days of rest, where you can get away from the noise without going too far. The bungalows are in good shape and have a fridge; the bed was nice too, no complaints there. The cozy pool area has a great pool, though it gets deep and may not suit infants. The nearest main beach is Lonely Beach, a bit far on foot but easy to reach by bike. There’s also a smaller beach within walking distance, but it can have rocks.

The bungalow was really clean, with no bugs, and the place has a warm feel. The furniture and some things like the towels could use a refresh, though. You’ll need a scooter or a walk to reach a sandy beach. Nearby are two small markets and some inexpensive places to eat, or you can just relax by the little pool.

A small, nice place, and the bungalows are in good shape for the money. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the kitchen was fine, with Thai and European food. We wanted to stay longer, but they were fully booked.
