Ban Mae Resort

We drove to the resort ourselves to try to find a fair solution, but the staff sent us to Agoda and Agoda sent us back to the resort. No one was willing to take responsibility. We even offered to pay a 30-50% cancellation fee, but there was no flexibility or goodwill. The owner eventually stopped replying to our messages on Agoda, and the staff don't speak English. We had inspected the place in person and decided our family with three children didn't feel comfortable staying there. The resort is very old, worn out, and poorly maintained. The pool table can't be used, the toilets are dirty, and the general cleanliness and upkeep are lacking. It's also very remote from restaurants and activities, and the nearby beach isn't suitable for families. We wouldn't return or recommend it.

If you're after parties and crowds, this place isn't for you. We had the whole big resort to ourselves, which made the nights feel a little spooky, but it's ideal if you want quiet and time to meditate. It's a very nice, clean resort with its own lake in the middle.

There was everything we needed at a very good price, and the rooms were decent. The staff were very kind. Thank you!

A local family looks after the place. My room wasn't clean, there was still sand on the bed.
