We felt welcome the whole time, and everything was very easy. You can rent a scooter at reception, which you definitely need if you want to get around the island. Our room was nice and roomy, and it was cleaned every day. Breakfast is available, and the pool and garden are very well looked after. We loved our stay at Macura Resort.

A peaceful night's sleep, despite being a little off the beaten path. The town is about a 1-2 km walk or motorbike ride in either direction, so it's still close enough. The small boutique eco cabin hotel sits among beautiful gardens, and I'd rate the overall stay five stars.

We loved how peaceful Macura Resort felt, tucked away from the main road but only minutes from beaches, waterfalls, and great restaurants. Marcel was warm and welcoming, and always ready to help. Renting a bike right there made exploring the island so easy. Our time at Macura made the trip unforgettable. We're planning to return next year and will definitely stay here again! The stay was disappointing because the female owner seemed unfriendly toward guests. Her attitude and expressions came across as unprofessional. I'd recommend finding somewhere else to stay, as the service here is very poor.

The bungalows were okay, and the resort itself is nice, with a pool and good breakfasts, though expensive. What put me off returning was Mr. Macura's behavior. He rented me a scooter with worn tires and in very poor technical condition. The trips he sells from a catalog cost significantly more than booking them independently. When my departure didn't go as planned, he kindly offered me a mattress in his office, then charged even more for that one night than my original private bungalow had cost.
